A typical three-bedroom semi-detached house constructed in the 1930s was the basis for this inspection. The property was occupied by two adults and two young children.
Our inspection revealed fresh rat droppings in the property, including within kitchen cupboards and on the worktops. We found evidence of significant holes to skirtings and doors created by gnawing. We established that there was an extensive rat nest beneath the lounge floor.
We noted other defects, including rainwater ingress to the roof and a leak from the bathroom.
We advised this property was not fit for human habitation in its current condition.
