A substantial fire within the roof void destroyed large parts of the roof structure to this grade 2 listed former vicarage.
We attended site quickly after the fire and arranged for a temporary roof structure to be installed – to protect this listed building from further damage from the elements.
We appointed a structural engineer to provide a design that would allow the remaining sections of the roof to be retained. After assessing the design, we produced a specification of works and a tender package.
Full listed building approval & building control approval for the works was obtained and we then tendered the works as well as appointing the winning contractor.
We project managed the works on site and acted as contract administrator, undertaking numerous site visits until successful completion. Works were completed to an excellent standard and ahead of programme. Total value was in the region of £130k.
