In recent years, fracturing of the masonry panels has occurred. Our client became concerned and requested we undertake a structural survey of the entire premises and advise them of any statutory compliance issues.
This building is constructed on a sloping site and is currently occupied by around 200 staff. Constructed in the 1960s, the property is briefly constructed using a concrete frame with masonry infill panels.
We carried out the structural survey with no disruption to staff or visitors during normal working hours. The report identified the exact construction of the property, the materials used (including deleterious materials), structural defects including fracturing. Our survey detailed the remedial works required and approximate costings for the repair work.
With regard to the statutory compliance of the property, we reported on issues including disabled access, fire risk assessments, asbestos management and L8 regulations.
Our client was totally thrilled with our speed, efficiency, technical knowledge and professionalism in conducting the survey and producing the report.
